Free Dice Dot Cards to aid numeracy
Our Dice Dot Cards are ideal for developing numeracy and learning the value of numbers in children's number games and activities. Numbers can be selected for use to match ability. There is no point in using cubed dice with numbers up to 4, 5 and 6, when the notions of 1, 2 and 3 are not yet grasped. Print on the media of your choice, cut and laminate if required. Make as many of each as you wish. Use with board games instead of ordinary dice.

Initially use just the 1 and 2 cards with dots and numbers. Playing games like Snap and Pairs with them will also help, and it is so easy to print off a few extra cards to ensure a good choice. Use at Drinks time for the number of biscuits allowed, giving a choice between 1 and 2 biscuits.

Our Dice Dot Cards go from 0 through to 5, so the notion of zero, none or no 'biscuits' can be introduced. And, by using 2 sets of Dice Dot Cards, it is possible to go from 0 to 10. Make your own cards by cutting out blank cards from a plain sheet of card. Play games like Snap and Pairs using a selection of cards such that anything of the same value will match, eg. the word and the dots, or the dots and the number. There are no right or wrong answers only true answers.

Print out sheets with cut lines on them onto thinner paper for Cut 'n' Stick activities. Reduce the size by using a lower magnification or by printing 2 sheets on one page to save on paper and ink.

Also included are a variety of numbers in different fonts, because some might look very strange, and a sheet of blank cut lines, so that customised Cut 'n' Stick cards can be made.
