Free download of Dice Cards for Children from www.mywaytoo.com for your personal use, to help with understanding numbers. Print on the media of your choice, cut and laminate if required. Make as many of each as you wish. Use with board games, such as those in the Doing Well range, instead of ordinary dice. Numbers can be selected for use to match ability. Just use 1, 2 and 3 first so that their meaning may be understood.
There is no point using 4, 5 and 6,
if you don't yet understand 1, 2 and 3.
Zero can also be introduced as None, and the dots on the cards are big enough to be counted by pointing at them with a finger.

Each set is slightly different. Numbers and Regular Dots has large, child-friendly digits and dots that are displayed in a regular pattern as those set out on a normal die. Words and Random Dots has the name of the digit written in a child-friendly font and 2 different arrangements of dots that are displayed in a random manor. Small Numbers and Words has digits and their names but using a smaller font size. Numbers in Different Fonts has digits that are in very different fonts so that variety is introduced.

Use these sets individually or mixed together. Games of Snap and Pairs, matching on criteria of your choice, can associate the different representations. Turntaking, choice and communication aid learning for all, not just for those on the autistic spectrum.
These cards are designed for A4 paper, which is 210mm x 297mm or 8.3in x 11.7in. Starting at the top of the page, images are laid out to cut into 7cm x 7cm square cards, with no spaces in between. This requires PDF Print settings of 100% with Page Scaling set to 'None'. Different paper sizes, and even different printers, may require different settings. And the resulting card size may need to be recalculated so that all the cards are the same size. Use the same procedure for other cards too, then they can be intermingled.
